Bestest day trip out of the city
Pembina River Provincial Park is a great place to get away from the city to relax, have a BBQ and float down the Pembina River. My grade nine outdoor-ed class had a canoe trip that started at the campground, and I’ve made the trip back numerous times with an air mattress and a tube to catch some sun and have a leisurely float down the slow moving river with friends. Just over an hour west of the city, the Pembina River is close enough to make for a quick day trip, but fun enough to keep you wanting to come back next weekend. Take the Yellowhead west to Entwistle and look for the signs. Don’t forget the waterproof sunscreen.New comments for this entry have been turned off and any existing ones are hidden.
