Bestest (most interesting) church art

{embed="/"}

I recently attended a Kokopelli concert in Sacred Heart Church. It’s downtown. The singing was enchanting, but I was equally mesmerized by the fusion of Christian and Native American mythology depicted on the walls. There was a statue of an Aboriginal Jesus Christ, and a painting of the crucifixion overseen by a ghostly buffalo. Directly behind the pulpit, there was a mural of a dancing Native American. It was pretty cool.
