Bestest place for random acts of kindness
Since the city has decided to drag our transit system, kicking and screaming, into the late-20th century, there are plenty of nice things to say about Edmonton Transit System. Everyone should take ETS until they have several good anecdotes to tell about how friggin’ awesome strangers are in this town. My favourite involves a serious toddler meltdown and ancient African lady who barely spoke English, but nonetheless managed to communicate that she had nine children survive infancy. This ancient, untoothed lady, pulled out a banana, insisted on taking the child onto her lap, immediately calmed the raging thing in five seconds flat. Not bad. Had I been driving, I’m sure I would have been aiming for the ditch.New comments for this entry have been turned off and any existing ones are hidden. We apologize for any inconvenience.
