Bestest place for random acts of strangeness
Uh, ETS wins this one, too. Where else can you hear the sordid divorce tale of a starfish-shaped 60-year-old, or witness an 11-year-old nearly pass out because she’s just had surgery and her mother thought that calling a cab home would break the bank? Where can you stand sweaty and crammed amongst the after-work masses and uncomfortably close to an ex-lover with whom you’re still not on speaking terms? The spirit of urbanity is the movement of the masses and its coincident ability to bring out the strangeness of human coexistence. Just keep repeating that to yourself, not even under your breath, when you’re waiting in the cold for the next bus to come. People might stare. That’s okay.New comments for this entry have been turned off and any existing ones are hidden. We apologize for any inconvenience.
