Bestest place to forget that you’re actually in the city
Terwillegar Park. Hands down. Located on Rabbit Hill Road, this park captures everything that is good about the River Valley. The nature has largely been left alone, allowing people to surround themselves with the natural scenery. When you stand in certain places in the park, you can actually look in all directions and see nothing but nature—no buildings, houses or roads in sight. Dog owners will enjoy the off-leash opportunities provided by the park, as will other animal-lovers who might spot a beaver building a dam in one of the small lakes within the park. Biking/hiking trails allow visitors to enjoy their hobbies without disturbing the surrounding habitat.
