Bestest place to get free raspberries in the city
Having spent some time in the Bonnie Doon area, I’ve always found the best way of getting a free snack of berries in the summer is to take a cruise down a back alley. Full of character, Edmonton’s back lanes offer up no shortage of surprises and a few treasures too, not least of which are the plentiful berry bushes growing alongside the fence line of many properties. In my thinking, any bushes on the alley side or berries sticking through the fence are fair game for a scoop. Reaching through the fence boards or over the fence to grab at the berries—which I of course wouldn’t recommend here—does help increase your haul.New comments for this entry have been turned off and any existing ones are hidden.
