Bestest place to get lost
Sure, there are enough one-way streets in around the University to get the newcomer arrested, killed or both. And assorted suburbs are riddled with cul-de-sacs and the navigator’s worst enemy, named streets. But only one area, to my knowledge, combines both. That would be New Beverly, where streets run north-south until they change into avenues without warning. At least a scenic view of the river valley presents itself when you inevitably lose your sense of direction, even if the postcard is spoiled by Refinery Row rearing its ugly head on the opposite bank.New comments for this entry have been turned off and any existing ones are hidden.
