Bestest time of year to be outside

That would be right now. Sandwiched somewhere between the mud-covered melting period of March and early April and the scorching sun-tanning sessions of July, there’s a too-short period where Edmonton is greener than David Suzuki. It’s almost embarrassing, really. Edmonton is supposed to be sweaty, stinking and hot or stuck in the deep freeze, right? But for 20-odd days, the city looks like it’s been transported to the coast of Oregon or southern England. It’s awesome.
