The Edmonton International Film Fest seems to grasp that: it has put together a weekend of screenings of both live action and animated shorts that are up for the Oscar this year, each category bundled together into a feature-length run of acclaimed, minute flicks: the live action program's collected for a Saturday afternoon screening, while you can catch the animated program on Sunday, being led off with A Morning Stroll (which took best animated short at this past EIFF, too) among myriad other wonders.
