The Kazoodles present: The Brain Train to Imagination Station

Production info:

Company: The Kazoodles
Directed by: Barry Bilinsky
Written by: Kaylee Gloeckler, Josh Languedoc, Morgan Nadeau
Starring: Kaylee Gloeckler, Josh Languedoc, Morgan Nadeau and introducing Sonjia Nilson as Ann Stage Manager: Barry Bilinsky

When little Ann’s videogame breaks, she doesn’t know what to do, and finds herself bored. Fortunately, the Kazoodles come along to teach her the value of using her imagination. Using props, song and plenty of interaction with the audience, the Kazoodles entertain and instruct Ann and the audience. Once Ann learns the lesson, the performance doesn’t end, and a couple more songs about imagination feel a bit redundant and extend the show a bit longer than it needs to be. Still, the script is very intelligent, with its subtle verbal humour, rhymes and puns. They also remake poems by Poe and Dr Seuss, as well as popular songs, with their own words. This includes Lady Gaga’s remade “Poker Face” performed on kazoos.
