Down the Way
Angus and Julia Stone {recordings_bands_mg} Down the Way {/recordings_bands_mg}

Despite being very well known in their home country, Australian siblings Angus and Julia Stone have been a fairly well-kept secret beyond that country. Their latest self-produced album Down the Way will undoubtedly change all that. Sister Julia's voice is an incredibly unique instrument that she plays to perfection. At times sounding almost child-like and at others like a much older woman, her voice contains both a naivety and the wisdom of experience. While brother Angus' tracks are not quite as compelling, they are still solid, rich and full of life. Though the arrangements are fairly simple, it is an emotionally complex album, full of lost love and yearning.
