This Californian foursome has crafted a solid debut album saturated with harmony, sun-soaked imagery and an overall alt-pop-rock sound reminiscent of Fleet Foxes with a touch of Mumford and Sons and a little Fleetwood Mac. Loma Vista creates a world of late nights that turn into morning adventures, as heard on the opening track "The Stairs," before delving into deeper subjects, such as the sentimental "Hey Ma." Family of the Year is fun without being vacuous, and the effortlessly blended harmonies are catchy.
