Gordie Tentrees is back with a collection of songs that are nostalgic of life in the Yukon, humorous, endearing and, above all, genuine. His ability to weave imagery and stories into each melody appears to come effortlessly and throughout North Country Heart, Tentrees welcomes listeners with open arms into his world and those in it.

Tentrees tells each tale in a straightforward way, but helps listeners even further by offering a brief explanation of each in the written lyrics. Each song has been crafted with care and a genuine sensibility that is complimented by blues melodies flavoured with country and roots touches. Throughout, listeners will be entertained by a diverse cast of characters from Tentrees' sons, his family, life in the north and a woman dubbed his biggest mistake.
