Photo Revue - The Real McKenzies
Thu, Sept. 4th - New City
When the Real McKenzies come to town there are two things you can be assured of: a fine, furious, whiskey-soaked performance and a primer on Celtic history. Who knew Robbie Burns sounded so good to the obliterating beats of punk rock? When the kilts were done lifting and the shot glasses put down the crowd was beat, the band was soaked and all was good. These guys are definitely a throwback to a simpler time when music was pure and booze reigned supreme, and we should all follow them down the road of excess to the foggy shores of Lock Ness fer a wee dram of what these guys are serving, 'cause it’s good—damn good.New comments for this entry have been turned off and any existing ones are hidden.
