White Paint displays a sense of maturity and polish from Hollerado, despite its often lo-fi sensibilities. It's a continuing evolution, and while there are some instances where songs begin sounding a little too similar to one another, it's a cohesive, solid return for the group. Hollerado is at its best when pushing full-tilt on the ska-influenced "So It Goes" and even the six-minute sonic journey that is "Fresno Chunk (Digging with You)," an enjoyable roundabout through a gamut of genres, if you stick with it.
