Diary of a Gig Fiend - PETE TURLAND, KRAZY 8’S AND RAYGUN COWBOYS
Once again Edmonton's diehard rockabilly fans were treated to a killer show last weekend at New City. It marked the triumphant return of the Krazy 8's, a local guitar-slingin' washtub bass slappin' trio who has been sorely missed in these here parts, but no more. It was also a chance for folks to grab a sneak peak at the Raygun Cowboys' long awaited disk, which hits stores later this month. With a recently added horn section doubling the band's flamboyant stage presence, these cats have become a musical force to be reckoned with. Colourful and bouncy like a beach ball in a mosh-pit and more fun than a pocketful of weasels, these Cowboys can blast away at my eardrums any time they want. V
